Speaker and Moderator Resources

We are delighted to have you participate in the upcoming Thought Leadership Series hosted by the Defined Contribution Real Estate Council (DCREC). Thank you in advance for your time and diligence in preparing for this event. This page should be a helpful reference both for the information you may need and the information we need from you.
 

General Information

You are encouraged to attend the full conference. For those participating in panel discussions, the panel names and descriptions will be finalized during preparation calls with your co-panelist(s) and moderator. Please plan to connect with your panel in-person at The Mid America Club in advance of your speaking time slot. All speakers -- please be assembled and ready to go on 20 minutes in advance of your session and be prepared for audience questions at the end of your presentation.

Conference Registration & Check-in

We will handle your conference registration and will receive a confirmation notice once registered. You are welcome and encouraged to attend the entire conference. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions or physical limitations you may have by emailing info@dcrec.org or by calling (201) 445-7007.
 

Meeting Location, Overnight Accommodations & Travel Information

The Thought Leadership Series will take place at The Mid-America Club, 200 E. Randolph Street, 80th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601 

  • All guests can enter the building via the main entrance located on Randolph Drive (South). If you are coming from the Fairmont Hotel, there is a pedway connecting the AON building and the hotel. 
  • All attendees must check in with Security and show a Government-issued photo ID to enter the building. The Mid-America Club is located on the 80th Floor.

Airports and Ground Transportation

The closest Airports to The Mid-America Club are:

  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). It is approximately 18 miles and 30 minutes by car/taxi (depending on traffic). An approximate fare is $30-$50.
  • Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW). It is approximately 13 miles and 30 minutes by car/taxi (depending on traffic). An approximate fare is $25-$45

The closest Trains are:

  • Red/Brown/Green/Orange Lines | Lake/State
  • Blue Line | Lake St
 

Parking

Parking is operated by the AON Center, conveniently located within the building. For current parking rates and parking directions, click here. Rates and prices are subject to change without notice. For specific questions, all Members and guests are encouraged to contact the Club at (312) 861-1100 or contact Imperial Parking directly at (312) 861-0969. The Mid America Club does not own or operate the parking facilities.
 

Overnight Accommodations

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel. To take advantage of the special group rate of $269 a night + tax, all reservations for the DCREC Thought Leadership Series must be made online at the official hotel housing website. The Fairmont Hotel is connected to the AON building. Book your room here. 

The special group rate will be available until Thursday, April 7, 2022, or until the room block is sold out, whichever comes first.
 

DCREC COVID Policy

We require all attendees to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative COVID test in order to attend DCREC events.

DCREC PowerPoint Template: Use this template for any slides you plan to present during your session. (Many sessions will not use slides at all; this is for those sessions that are using them.)

DCREC Website: Visit this page for the latest event agenda and other updates. A member registration link is also available; however, please note that speakers will be registered by staff and do not need to register themselves.

All speaker presentations will be combined into one master deck for the session. We will ensure there is an introductory slide, transition slides between speakers, and a closing slide.

If you are on a panel, the session title and description will be finalized in discussion with your co-panelist(s) and moderator.
